Just noticed how many people skip weighing their flour

I see recipes online saying "3 cups of flour" and half the comments are about dry cakes. A cup can be 4 to 6 ounces depending on scooping. Has anyone else switched to a $15 scale and stopped guessing?

...and I was still out here wondering why my chocolate chip cookies looked like frisbees half the time. Bought a cheap scale off amazon for like $15 and suddenly realized I was packing my flour like I was building a sandcastle. Now my cakes don't taste like regret and I don't have to wash measuring cups for every single ingredient.

Total game changer. My cookies actually come out the same every time now.

$15 scale changed my baking completely. Scoop and level method went out the window once I started weighing everything. Stick with grams instead of ounces, way more precise for smaller amounts of things like baking powder.
