Shoutout to the bakery supply store on 3rd Street that saved my cake last Tuesday

I stopped by that little place near the farmers market to grab some more parchment paper and noticed the owner was pulling a whole batch of almond flour off the shelf because the expiration dates were wrong. She said the distributor sent a bad pallet and she didn't want anyone getting sick. Has anyone else run into an issue with bulk baking ingredients lately?

Did she say which distributor sent that bad pallet?

Omg tell me about it! @jenny47 I had a similar issue last month with a produce distributor sending me a pallet of berries that were already moldy. Honestly what finally worked for me was calling the distributor directly and asking for their quality assurance manager, not the sales rep. They ended up crediting my account for the whole pallet and sent a replacement the next day. I also started taking photos of everything right when it arrives, which has helped a ton when dealing with claims.

Respectfully, I gotta disagree here. Going straight to the QA manager feels like jumping the line. Most places have a proper claims process for a reason.
