That $80 Danish dough whisk I swore was a gimmick just saved my sourdough

I've been using a wooden spoon for 10 years. My buddy at the farmers market kept pushing this whisk thing on me. Finally caved after watching him mix a 75% hydration dough in like 30 seconds with no sticking. Tried it myself last Sunday morning - actually worked. The dough came together way faster and cleanup took half the time. Anyone else have a tool they fought against then gave in?

Bought one after years of telling my wife it was just a fancy overpriced stir stick. Used it for the first time on a batch of ciabatta and man I felt like an idiot for waiting so long. The wire cuts through the dough way better than a spoon ever did. My mixing bowl actually stays clean now instead of having dough caked all up the sides. I even use it for pancake batter and muffin mix now too. Its just one of those things you gotta try to understand.

Respectfully, just a spatula here does the same job for me.

Oh man, I get the skepticism but respectfully (ha), a spatula really doesn't do the same thing. The wire loop gets into the corners way better, especially if you have a narrow bowl. I was a total doubter too until I tried one at a friend's house.
