My aunt in Boise gave me one tip about pie crust and it finally worked on try 4
I had been making pie crusts that came out like cardboard for 3 months, and my aunt Linda in Boise mentioned at Thanksgiving that I should freeze my butter and grate it with a cheese grater instead of cutting it in with two knives. I did that last Saturday and the crust came out flaky for the first time, no cracks when I rolled it out either. Has anyone else gotten a random tip from a relative that fixed a bake you had basically given up on?
