Overheard a lady at the grocery store say her sourdough starter has a name and a birth certificate
She was dead serious, told me she registered it on some starter database website and it turned 4 years old last month. Made me wonder if I should be taking my failed cinnamon rolls more personally or if this is just the next level of baking obsession.

People really out here giving their fermented flour a legal identity. Can only imagine the sourdough starter has a social security number by now too. Bet it's got better documentation than half the people I know. Cinnamon rolls are a different beast altogether. Maybe they just needed a birth certificate too.

Honestly @mark436 you're thinking of cinnamon rolls, not cinnamon, which is just a spice from tree bark
