Customer told me my payment system was 'too 2010' so I swapped everything over the weekend

Had this lady come in Friday, paid with her phone, and she said 'you really should upgrade, this terminal looks like it belongs in a museum.' I was using this old clunky Verifone since 2018 and yeah it worked fine but she had a point. Spent Saturday morning grabbing a Clover Go from the bank down the street. Took like 2 hours to set up. First transaction Monday morning felt so smooth. Anybody else get a comment that pushed you to finally update your setup?

Switched over to a Clover setup not too long ago for the same reason. Had a regular tell me my old system made her feel like she was back in 2009 buying a CD or something. That stung a bit. I grabbed a Clover Flex and honestly the ability to take payments tableside or over by the register has been a game changer. Plus the wireless terminal means I'm not tethered to that one spot, which has saved me a lot of walking back and forth.

@piper_kim totally agree on the walking thing, the portability alone made it worth switching for me.

Oh man I was totally skeptical at first too but yeah you guys are making me rethink my whole setup. What model did you end up going with?
