My bank used to mail me a paper statement every month, now I just get an email alert

I realized the switch happened around 2015 when they started pushing the 'go green' campaign. Anyone else miss having that physical record to file away, or is it just clutter now?

That push for digital statements really did make it harder to keep a simple paper trail. It's not just about clutter, it's about having a backup when the website goes down or you get locked out of your account. Now you have to remember to download and save PDFs yourself, which most people just don't do. The convenience for the bank became a bit more hassle for us.

Yeah the "zero records" thing @patricia_perez74 is the real kicker. Makes you wonder if they count on us forgetting old charges when we can't look them up.
