My credit card statement showed a $777.77 charge from a place called 'Lucky Dragon' in Vegas

I was going over my online banking last Tuesday and that number just jumped out at me. I've never been to Las Vegas, and I definitely didn't eat at a Lucky Dragon. I called the bank right away, and the fraud agent actually laughed when I told her the amount. She said it's a common test charge from scammers because people think it's funny. They froze the card and sent a new one, but now I'm paranoid checking every weird number. Has anyone else gotten a charge with a strangely perfect amount like that?

That's wild they actually laughed about it. Scammers must think we're all superstitious idiots who won't question a lucky number. After my card got hit with a $123.45 charge for "Online Services," I started looking for patterns everywhere. Now a $20.24 charge seems suspicious just for being a recent year. It turns you into a detective checking for repeating digits or weirdly round amounts.

Guess they're just hoping you won't notice.

Man, my card got hit with a $66.66 charge once, and I felt the same paranoia.
