Overheard a bank teller in Pittsburgh say mobile apps are killing small talk and I think she's right

Last Wednesday I was waiting in line at PNC and the teller told the lady next to me that she barely talks to customers anymore because everyone just uses the app, and honestly that's sad when you think about how much local banks used to get to know people face to face - has anyone else noticed the shift away from human connection in banking?

My neighbor still hand-writes his deposit slips just to chat with the teller.

Yeah that's rough. Pittsburgh's big on neighborly stuff too.
