Three months of bank fees adding up then I found one simple setting

I was looking at my business account statements last month and saw I paid $45 in wire transfer fees just in January. That stung for a small roofing company like mine. Turns out my bank lets me convert incoming wires to ACH for free if I set a default preference in the online portal. Took me maybe 5 minutes to change after I called customer support. Has anyone else found a hidden fee saver in their bank settings that nobody tells you about?

My buddy runs a food truck and he told me he was getting hit with $12 monthly maintenance fees on his business checking for like two years straight. He finally called the bank and they told him if he kept a minimum daily balance of $1,500 (which he usually had anyway) they'd waive the fee. He said the rep didn't even mention it when he opened the account, just buried it in the fine print somewhere. I think banks hide stuff like that on purpose honestly, hoping people won't notice the small charges stacking up over time.
