Vent: Drive-thru ATM at my Chase branch ate my deposit slip twice yesterday

I was stuck behind some guy in a pickup at the Wells Fargo ATM on Broadway last week when I realized the chip reader on these machines is WAY slower than inserting the old magnetic strip. Has anyone else noticed the payment terminals at fast food places taking like 5 extra seconds per transaction since they switched to chip?

Oh boy, I feel your pain. I once fed my debit card to the machine by accident.

Betcha the ATM gave you a free overdraft fee for that one.

Guess it depends on the ATM and bank though... some of them actually waive the fee if you deposit cash right after the mistake. Not all of them do that, but it's worth checking your app before you panic. Just saying, they might cut you some slack if you act fast.
