My pork shoulder stalled for 8 hours in a Memphis rainstorm last month, so I wrapped it in butcher paper with a splash of apple cider vinegar and it powered right through.
Has anyone else found a good trick for a stubborn stall when the weather turns bad?

Rainstorms are the worst for keeping temps steady. My old kettle grill once turned a brisket into a doorstop during a thunderstorm because I was too stubborn to wrap it. A buddy told me to just move the whole operation into my garage with the door cracked open for smoke, which felt a little dangerous but totally worked. Sometimes you just have to get creative when the weather fights back.

Tbh moving a grill into the garage sounds like a great way to also smoke your car.

That "get creative when the weather fights back" line is too real. I once tried to smoke a pork shoulder during a snowstorm by building a windbreak out of a cardboard box and some bricks. It worked for about an hour until the box got soggy and collapsed into the snow. The pork was fine but I spent more time on that dumb shelter than the actual cook.

Didn't you read that article about using a garbage bin as a makeshift shelter for grills?
