Blew $400 on a fancy standing desk converter I barely use

I work from home and thought a standing desk converter would fix my back pain. Spent $400 on this hydraulic lift thing from a flashy online ad. After 3 weeks, I realized I only stand for maybe 10 minutes a day because it's a pain to raise and lower. Now it's just an expensive shelf for my monitor. Anyone else regret a big workstation purchase?

Do you think anyone actually uses those things long term? My friend Jenna bought one and now it's just a fancy place to stack her coffee mugs.

lol the "fancy mug holder" thing is such a tired joke at this point. I actually use mine every single day for legit smoothies and protein shakes and it's been going strong for like two years now. Jenna probably just bought the cheap version or didn't bother learning the settings. The trick is to get one with a simple interface and actually use it for stuff you'd normally blend anyway, not just trendy recipes. Most people give up because they expect it to change their whole life overnight, but if you treat it like a regular blender that's easier to clean, it works great. I'm honestly surprised they're still a meme because the convenience of blending right in the cup you drink from is pretty hard to beat once you get used to it.
