I finally had a perfect day last Wednesday, no joke

My car didn't break down, my boss actually said 'good job' for once, and I found $20 in an old jacket pocket all in the same 12 hours. Has anyone else had one of those freak days where everything just lines up? Like, what are the odds?

The jacket pocket money is the closest I've ever come to feeling like a celebrity, honestly. @mark436 is right, that little bonus from your own forgetfulness is just unbeatable. I once found a $20 bill in a pair of shorts I'd left at a friend's house for like six months, and I felt like I'd discovered a new continent or something. My buddy said "man, you're lucky" and I just stood there grinning like an idiot, probably looked like I'd won the lottery. Really makes you wonder how much money we've all accidentally thrown away in old clothes over the years.

You know, I used to be the guy who'd roll his eyes at stuff like this. Call it blind luck or whatever. But last Tuesday I got hit with a triple threat too. My car passed inspection with no work needed for the first time in 4 years, a waitress accidentally left my change on the table and it was a 20 instead of a 5, and my buddy paid me back the 50 he owed me from 3 months ago all in one day. It made me rethink being so cynical about the universe lining things up. Feels like if you keep your head down through enough garbage Mondays, the cosmos might just throw you a tip for the trouble. It's weird.

Your boss said 'good job' and it wasn't sarcasm or followed by a BUT? That's a legit MIRACLE right there. I'm still waiting on that one myself. But the $20 in an old jacket pocket is what really gets me. That's like winning the lottery of your own forgetfulness, you know? It's like the universe decided to give you a little bonus for all the crap days. Honestly those freak days are so rare they probably have a better odds than hitting the Powerball.

Ha, the jacket money is the only lottery win I've ever had. Found a crumpled $50 in a coat I hadn't worn since last winter. Felt like I pulled off a heist against myself. Definitely beats a boss saying "good job" which usually just means they're setting you up for more work.
