My grandma's recipe cards are worth more than any app and I'll die on that hill
Everyone tells me to scan my grandma Ruth's handwritten recipe cards into some app, but I think that misses the whole point. The grease stains on her banana bread card and the note in the corner that says 'bake til it smells right' tell me more about her than any typed up version ever could. I keep them in the same tin she got in 1962 from a neighbor in Abilene, and my kids actually pull them out to read them. Does anyone else think the messy original is the whole point, or am I just being stubborn about this?
