The part about her telling you something from 1968 you never knew is the real gold there. I do the same thing with my grandpa but I record him on my phone so I don't miss the little details, then I type it up later. Last month he told me he paid 12 bucks a month for an apartment in Chicago and that he once saw MLK speak downtown, and I had no clue about either one. Those small stories end up being the stuff you can't look up anywhere else.
