Spent $150 on a 'smart' plant that just dies and texts you about it
Got this thing called a Grobo, supposed to grow herbs automatically. It just sent me a notification saying 'Your basil is sad' and then the whole unit shut down. Has anyone actually had one of these work for more than a month?

The hard reset made mine work" - I mean, @wesleyb20, idk if I'd call a dead basil plant "working" just cause the lights come back on lol. Like sure, the unit might reboot, but is the basil actually gonna grow? I had one of these for three weeks and it sent me a notification that my rosemary was "feeling lonely" and then the water pump just stopped. Hard reset got it going again but the rosemary was still dead. Maybe it's just me but I feel like for $150 the thing should at least keep a plant alive for a month without needing to be unplugged like a broken WiFi router.

Mine worked after a hard reset.

Ah, the classic "hard reset" fix. It's amazing how often the solution to modern tech problems is just turning it off and on again like a stubborn lawnmower. Feels like we're all just paying for fancy boxes that occasionally need a good electronic nap. At this point, I half expect my router to start asking for a bedtime story.
