That time I locked myself out of my car during an open house showing
I was showing a house in Brentwood last Saturday and left my keys on the passenger seat while I unlocked the front door, then the car auto-locked behind me. Had to call a locksmith for $85 and apologize to the buyers for standing around for 45 minutes - has anyone else dealt with a similar panic moment?

Oh man, that's on you though. You left the keys in the car knowing it auto-locks. That's like a rookie mistake for a realtor.

Did you check if your car has the manual key hidden in the fob? Most newer fobs have a little button that pops out a physical key inside. I keep a spare key in a magnetic box under my car just for this reason, cost me like $10 on Amazon. Also, I always put my keys in my pocket the second I step out now, no exceptions. The locksmith fee stinks but at least you learned from it, right?

Actually the spare key in a magnetic box thing works great unless you park outside and it freezes, learned that one the hard way last winter.
