The mural in the old train station has a hidden date

I stopped by the 1930s station in Duluth last weekend and noticed the big mural on the wall has a tiny painted date of 9/11/01 in the corner, way off from the 1934 title. Someone must have added it during a touch-up years later, but nobody talks about it. Has anyone else found hidden marks like that in public art?
