Snapped a belt on my treadmill right in the middle of my "I'm totally fine" phone call with my mom

Last Tuesday I was on the phone with my mom pretending everything was GREAT while my treadmill belt literally shredded itself mid stride, and I had to keep my voice calm while frantically unplugging the thing and hoping the motor wasn't smoking, has anyone else had to fake happiness while some piece of equipment fails right under them?

Honestly @the_diana, I mean sometimes a joke just covers up how annoyed you really are though.

Getting a good laugh in about the "smooth operator" act really helped me own the absurdity of it all. Just telling the truth with a joke diffused my frustration.
