That Wednesday afternoon when my entire crew called in sick
Last spring I had a day where three guys called off for a big oak removal in Ridgefield. I spent six hours alone with a chainsaw and a rope trying to get limbs down without crushing Mrs. Gable's prize rhododendrons. By the time I limped home my back was screaming and I had bark dust in every pocket, but I sat at dinner smiling like I had a normal day. Has anyone else had a workday fall apart so quietly you couldn't even complain about it?
