My sister said my resume made her tired just reading it, so I cut it from 3 pages to 1
She works in HR in Charlotte and said no one reads past the first job, so I dropped 15 years of old stuff and got 2 callbacks in a week, anyone else had to gut their own resume to move on?
The part about her saying it made her tired just reading it cracked me up because I've been there. Mine used to list every job back to my college food court gig where I "handled high volume food service," aka I put fries in a basket. My cousin does hiring at a bank and told me the same thing your sister said, nobody's reading past page one, so I chopped out like 12 years of stuff I was weirdly proud of keeping on there. Still stings a little deleting a job you actually liked, but hey, 2 callbacks in a week beats 6 months of silence.
