One bad Tuesday that made me quit my job of 7 years

I was a supervisor at a warehouse in Cleveland and on one Tuesday in March I got yelled at by three different managers for things I didn't do wrong. The last straw was when my own boss told me I was 'lazy' after I stayed late 4 nights that week. Has anyone else had one specific day that finally broke the camel's back?

Wait till you hear this one. I had a Thursday where my boss yelled at me for not finishing a report that I had already emailed him three times. Then he told me to 'stop being so dramatic' when I pointed out the email timestamps. So I walked out at lunch and never came back. Sometimes you just gotta laugh at how ridiculous these people are, you know?

Start looking at what kind of person you were becoming after years of that place. My friend worked a similar warehouse job for five years and he didn't quit after one bad day, he quit after he realized he was snapping at his kids and waking up angry every morning. That Tuesday probably wasn't really about three managers yelling at you, it was about seven years of little cuts adding up until you couldn't take one more. The real wake up call might be how much of yourself you gave away to a company that doesn't care if you live or die.

bro for real tho jasonallen nailed it. that tuesday was just the straw that broke everything. i had my own moment like that after 4 years at a shipping place. my boss screamed at me for a pallet that fell over even though i was on my lunch break and someone else moved it. i just stood there and realized i had been coming home so tired and grumpy that my roommate started avoiding me. i was eating dinner in my car just to have five minutes of quiet. that one bad day didnt cause it all, it just finally showed me what i had become. i walked out that afternoon and honestly i slept better that night than i had in years.
