The moving boxes at 58 cents each beat the free ones from the liquor store, here's why

I used to swear by free produce boxes and whatever I could grab from behind the grocery store. Spent two days taping them together, and half of them still collapsed when I stacked my cast iron pans. This move to Austin, I paid for actual moving boxes, about 45 of them. Total was $43 with the tape. Every single one held up, they stack like Legos, and I packed the whole apartment in one weekend instead of three. The old way felt frugal but cost me in time and a broken coffee mug.
