Vent: My 30 minute commute turned into a 6 hour moving day

Last Saturday, I moved from Denver to Aurora and the U-Haul broke down on I-25. Turns out my 'quick local move' plan didn't account for anything, and I had to rent a second truck for $180 on the spot. Has anyone else had a supposedly simple move spiral into chaos, and what did you do differently the next time?
