Choosing between a new anvil or a gas forge upgrade
I went with the 150lb NC anvil over the new burner kit, and the extra mass has made a huge difference in my hammer control. Anyone else faced a similar tool budget choice and have thoughts on what to save for next?

It's a whole vibe in every hobby now. People chase the perfect gear instead of just using what works and getting better. Saw it with cameras before I quit that scene too.

Is this really a life changing choice or are we just overthinking our hobby? I grabbed a cheap old anvil years ago and it works fine, my hammer control is more about practice than weight. Sometimes I wonder if we're just looking for gear to fix problems that more shop time would solve.
