Had to pick between a coal forge and a gas forge for my setup

Went with the coal forge because it was cheaper upfront, about $300 less than a gas setup. Fired it up in my driveway and my neighbor came out screaming about the smoke after 10 minutes. Anyone else stick with coal and just deal with the hassle?

Oh, "Did he actually call the cops" - that's the real question right there, isn't it? From my own mess of a situation, the guy just yelled and threatened but never actually dialed. Best advice I can give is to record everything they say and do, even if you think it's minor. Most people who threaten to call the cops never do, they just use it to scare you into backing down. If they do call, stay calm and explain what happened to the operator, don't let them paint you as the aggressor. Also keep a paper trail of any texts or emails about the issue, cops love that stuff if it ever gets that far. Honestly, nine times out of ten it's all bluster, but you gotta protect yourself just in case.
