Why does nobody talk about hammer weight matching your anvil?
I ran a 2.5 pound hammer on a 150 pound anvil for 3 years and got frustrated with how slow my work was. Then I borrowed a 4 pound hammer from a guy at the Ohio Forge Day and my first full day with it cut my drawing time nearly in half. Has anyone else found their swing speed improved more from matching the hammer to the anvil than from any technique video?
