Debate: Is it better to paint with a roller or sprayer for home walls?

I had to choose between a roller and a sprayer for my bedroom walls last month. Roller took twice as long but gave this even texture, while sprayer was fast but left a dusty mess I had to scrub for hours. Which method do you think wins for a clean finish with less cleanup hassle?

Roller's just a slow dance with pain, sprayer's a quick regrettable fling. You ever try spraying and just accept the dust as part of your decor?

Markh85 nailed it honestly. Sprayer is like ordering takeout - fast and easy but you're cleaning up the mess for days after. Roller's the slow cooked meal that takes effort but the finish just hits different.

Sprayer all the way for me. I did my living room with a Graco and even with all the masking and drop cloths, the time saved was worth the extra cleanup. Roller just leaves those little fuzzy bits and lap marks if you're not perfect, plus my shoulder was killing me after doing a 12x14 room by hand. Did you tape off every outlet and corner or just let it overspray and cut in later?
