TIL those cheap phone screen protectors on Amazon are a scam
I bought a 3 pack of tempered glass screen protectors for $8 on Amazon and all three cracked within a week of normal use. Turns out the hardness rating was fake and they had zero impact protection. Did anyone else get ripped off by those no name brands or did I just pick the wrong listing?

Holy crap all THREE cracked in one week?? That's insane. I got a 2 pack from some random brand called "iShieldz" or something and the first one literally had a bubble that wouldn't go away no matter what I did. The second one I dropped my phone from like 2 feet onto carpet and it shattered into a spiderweb. Total garbage. I learned my lesson and just paid $20 for a Spigen one at Best Buy, hasn't cracked yet after 6 months.

That "dropped on carpet and shattered" part made me wonder - were these those super cheap glass ones or the plastic film kind? I'm curious if the material type matters more than people think for that sort of damage.
