Found out my favorite game's rulebook had a mistake for 10 years
I was looking up a rule clarification for Twilight Struggle on BoardGameGeek last night, and I stumbled on a thread from 2014 that said the version I own has a scoring error in the space race track. Turns out my copy from 2009 said you get 3 points for landing on the moon, but the actual rule is just 2. I checked my rulebook and it's definitely wrong. Has anyone else found errors in older printings of games that changed how they played?

Honestly used to think rulebook errors were pretty rare and not a big deal, but this whole moon point thing really changed my mind. Seeing how the wrong number got repeated in guides and even tournament summaries just shows how deep these mistakes can run. Makes me want to double-check every rule in my old games now.

Honestly this hits different for me because I always thought that extra point from the moon landing was part of the strategy. I've been banking on that 3 point swing in close games for years. Now I gotta go back and check my own rulebook to see if I've been playing wrong this whole time. The wild part is how many online guides and even tournament summaries repeated the wrong number too. It makes me wonder how many other little mistakes are baked into old printings that we just accepted as gospel.

Only way to catch this stuff is to pull out your original printing and read it cover to cover, not just the rules summary. Found three other errors doing that with my own copy of an old game last month.
