I just learned that the original print run of the 1979 Dune board game was only 1,000 copies from a footnote in a used book I picked up.
It makes me wonder how many other games from that era had such tiny releases that are basically lost to time now.

Oh man, "what book was that footnote in" is the worst kind of question to get. You just know you read it somewhere, but your brain refuses to cough up the title. I've spent whole afternoons digging through my books trying to find a single line.
