I thought the 'sleeve all your cards' people were nuts until my copy of Terraforming Mars
My game group plays a lot, and my copy of Terraforming Mars started showing serious wear after maybe 15 games. The card edges were getting fuzzy and marked. A friend finally convinced me to buy a pack of 200 penny sleeves for about eight bucks. After a slow hour of sleeving everything, the next game felt completely different. The cards shuffled like a dream and I stopped worrying about damaging them. Has anyone else had a single game change their mind on a common piece of board game advice?

You said the cards shuffled like a dream after sleeving. But doesn't that feel weird at first, like they're too slippery? I was sure I'd hate the plastic feel, but you get used to it fast. What about the extra space the sleeves take up in the box, though? Did you have to get a new storage solution or does it all still fit?

Ever think about how sleeves change the deck's weight?

Betty's right about the box thing. My old deck box is basically useless now, it's like trying to stuff a pillow back into its case. I had to buy one of those big plastic ones that looks like it could hold a sandwich. The whole collection went from fitting in my pocket to needing its own backpack slot.
