Just dropped $80 on a 'deluxe' organizer for a game I never play
I saw this fancy wooden insert for my copy of Terraforming Mars at the game store last month. The guy behind the counter said it would cut setup time in half. I bought it, spent two hours putting it together, and now it just sits in the box. We've played the game once in the past year. It feels like I paid for a solution to a problem I don't have. Anyone else buy accessories for games that just collect dust?

That "pass the problem" idea from paige331 is smart. I did the same with my Scythe organizer after it sat unused for a year. Felt good to free up the shelf space and let someone else enjoy it.

Oh man, that hits close to home. I bought a fancy plano box setup for Arkham Horror, sorted every little token, and then the game just lived on my shelf. What finally worked for me was selling the game and its organizer together on a local swap group. Felt like passing the problem to someone who'd actually use it, and I got a bit of cash back. Sometimes you just have to admit the game isn't getting to the table and cut your losses.
