The local shop guy told me to stop punching miniatures, weirdest fix ever
After 3 months of painting war minis for my Tuesday group, I kept smearing paint on my thumb knuckle and ruining the finish. The guy behind the counter at my local hobby store watched me for a minute and said 'quit pressing so hard, let the brush do the walking.' I switched to a lighter grip and started bracing my hand on a foam block instead, wiped out almost all my touch-up work. Has anyone else gotten a weird tiny tweak like that that fixed a habit you didn't even know you had?

Same thing happened with my guitar picking hand, once I loosened up the whole song sounded different.
