The night the Catan board got flipped at a Seattle game cafe

I was at Mox Boarding House last summer when a player rolled a 7 three rounds in a row and had a full meltdown, knocking over the entire island and scattering cities everywhere, and the owner just brought us a free round of beers while we rebuilt - has anyone else had a game night go that sideways?

Mox doesn't have a Seattle location though, that's their Ballard spot.

Ugh yeah that's rough but honestly those Catan meltdown moments are the BEST kind of game night drama. I've seen a guy literally throw the robber token across the room in a fit and then storm out of the house. One time my friend got so mad about getting blocked on 6s that he stood up so fast his chair tipped over and he spilled nachos all over the settlement cards. The free beers from the owner is a classy move though most places would just watch the chaos unfold.

Huh, I used to think free drinks for drama was just enabling bad behavior but you might be right that it's actually a smart move to keep the vibe fun. Definitely changed my mind on that.
