The player count on BGG's top 100 shocked me

I was looking at the top ranked games on BoardGameGeek last night and noticed over half of them are best with 4 players or fewer. My group of 6 has been struggling to find new stuff to play and now I get why. Has anyone else had to completely rebuild their collection around smaller player counts?

Hold on a second... I gotta push back on that "over half" thing. I went through the top 100 just last week and it's more like 60 some odd games that say best at 4 or less, which is a big chunk but not a full majority. Still, you're feeling the pain with 6 players. Most games these days cap out at 4 because that's what designers test with, and the ones that do support 6 often play slow or have weird team rules tacked on. Try looking at party games or stuff like 7 Wonders, that plays 7 and doesn't feel like a compromise.
