Bought a cheap pipe bender for a small job and it cost me a full day.

I needed to bend a few 2-inch lines for a repair in a local brewery last week, so I grabbed a $150 bender from a discount tool site. The thing slipped on the second bend, kinking the pipe and forcing me to cut out the section and start over. What's the cheapest bender you guys trust for light work that won't mess up the job?

That $150 price point is the problem, not the tool type. I've seen decent manual benders for 2-inch start around $300.

Yeah, that price is basically asking for a tool made of hopes and recycled soda cans lol. Gotta love when the cheap option is just a fancy paperweight. Spending $150 now just means you'll be buying the $300 one later anyway.

Honestly I used to buy the cheap stuff too but matthew394's point about the price being the real issue changed my mind.

It's the same with cheap furniture that falls apart in a year.
