I was dead wrong about digital leveling tools

I spent 10 years swearing by my old torpedo level on refinery work, thought those digital display levels were just expensive toys for green guys. Then I had to set a 40-foot vessel base plate on a sloped foundation last month and the digital gave me 0.02 degrees repeatability in 3 seconds flat. Anyone else eat their words on a tool they talked trash about for years?

Oh come on, @ellis.faith, I gotta push back on this. Those harnesses are a pain to put on and take off, they're hot and sweaty in the summer, and they restrict your movement way too much for actual work. I've been doing roofing for 12 years and I've only used a harness twice - both times I felt less safe because I was tangled up in straps and couldn't move naturally. A good pair of boots and paying attention to where you step has never failed me.
