Binding family recipe collections feels like it's becoming a thing now.

Lately, I've had several requests for turning handwritten recipes into durable, beautiful books.

My grandma never cooked a day in her life but her bound recipe book is the only thing I have in her handwriting. The process is about saving a piece of someone, not just instructions for soup. You could always learn to cook later, but you can't get that handwriting back once it's gone.

My friend scanned every page of her grandma's recipe cards when the family house sold. She said it wasn't about the food, it was hearing her voice in those scribbled notes.

Oh wow, I read a whole article about that exact feeling, how handwriting holds a memory.

Guess I should learn to cook first before binding anything.
