Just realized my cheap bone folder from a $6 starter kit in Portland does the same job as the fancy one
I picked up one of those $40 rosewood bone folders at a supply shop on SE Division last spring because everyone online swore the cheap plastic ones would ruin my creases. After 8 months of switching between them on the same batches of pamphlet stitch journals, I honestly can't feel a difference in the fold quality. The wood one is prettier on my bench, but that's about it. Anyone else think the tool snobbery in this craft gets a little out of hand, or am I missing something about the material over time?
