Stopped by the bindery exhibit at the Boston Public Library and saw something I did not expect
I went to see the old bookbinding tools display at the Boston Public Library last Saturday and the thing that caught my eye was a tiny bone folder worn down to almost nothing from decades of use. It got me thinking about how most of us today reach for teflon folders or a plastic stick, and I wonder if we are losing something by not working with bone anymore. Has anyone here stuck with bone folders over the newer materials?
