Swapped out my old bone folder for a teflon one and it changed how I work

I used to swear by my trusty bone folder for all my creasing and folding, but after wrecking a leather cover on a commission 6 months ago, I switched to a teflon one. No more burnishing marks or accidental scratches on delicate materials. Has anyone else made that switch and noticed a difference?

Waited way too long to make that swap myself. I had a teflon folder sitting in my drawer for months before I actually used it on a real project, and now I kick myself for it. The way it glides over leather without leaving any drag or residue is night and day from bone. Makes you wonder why we put up with the old tools for so long, right?

Heard a guy at a leather show say teflon folders were a game changer and I brushed it off at first. Then I tried one on some really thin veg tan and couldn't believe how smooth it was. No fighting with the bone folder catching or leaving shiny marks. Made me feel dumb for sticking with my old one so long.

My buddy swapped and said it saved his leather work too.
