Was totally against foam board bookbinding till I tried it on a gift project
I always thought foam board was some kind of cheat code for hobbyists who couldn't do real bindings. But my buddy asked me to make a custom scrapbook for his mom's 70th birthday last month, and the dude needed it done in like 4 days. I gave it a shot with some 5mm foam board from the craft store and honestly? That thing came out lightweight, sturdy, and the covers felt great. Has anyone else caved and found foam board works better than you'd expect?

Lol I was the same way but yeah, that stuff is surprisingly solid once you actually use it. Consider me converted too.

Wait, is it actually solid or just decent?

That second time you use it, does it actually hold up or does the newness wear off fast? I grabbed some last month and the first few days were great, but by week two I was back to my old habits. Just wondering if it has real staying power or if it's one of those things that clicks only when you're fresh.
