Picked up a random succulent at the farmers market in Austin and now I water it exactly once a month
That $4 plant has outlived every expensive fern I bought from the big box store, so has anyone else noticed cheaper plants seem tougher or did I just get lucky?

Haven't we all learned this the hard way? The cheap ones are always the survivors.

That's just how it goes man, the stuff you treat like garbage ends up lasting forever and the nice things break the second you look at them wrong.
