Pro tip: stop watering your succulents on a schedule
I used to water my jade plant every Sunday without fail for two years. Then I went to a succulent workshop at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the instructor said most people kill their plants by overwatering. She showed us how the roots looked after sitting in wet soil for a week. Now I only water when the leaves start to wrinkle. Anyone else had to unlearn a basic plant care habit?

Right?? I did the exact same thing with my snake plant, watered it every Saturday like clockwork until the roots basically turned to mush. Now I just poke a finger in the dirt and wait til it's bone dry before even thinking about it.

Honestly "bone dry" means like desert sand dry not just the top inch.
