TIL my neighbor's 20 year old fiddle leaf fig tree is the secret to their house's perfect humidity.

I spent a whole week trying to figure out why my new calathea was thriving at their place but wilting at mine, and it turns out that single massive plant acts like a natural humidifier for their entire living room.

Guess I'm buying a big tree now.

Wait, how big are we talking here, @the_wesley? Like a normal Christmas tree, or one of those monsters that scrapes the ceiling? The thought of getting that thing through a door gives me stress. You must have some serious space to even consider it.

My buddy Steve got a 12-footer last year and had to take his front door off the hinges. The top was still bent for a week.
