Saw the weirdest brick wall at a gas station in Omaha
Stopped for fuel off I-80 and the whole back wall of the place was this wild, zigzag pattern. Looked like someone had a real bad day or was trying to be fancy with no plan. The joints were all over the place, some thick, some thin, and a few bricks were just hanging out past the line. My buddy with me said it looked like a snake trying to get away. Has anyone ever seen a pattern like that on a real job, or was that just a one-off mess?

Oh man, that sounds exactly like a wall I saw on a warehouse addition over in Council Bluffs. It was so wobbly I thought the whole thing might just tip over if you leaned on it. Your buddy's snake thing is SPOT ON, it really does look like something trying to slither away. Some people call it "art" but I just see a bricklayer who stopped caring halfway through the day.

Used to hate those messy patterns, but saw one in Denver that actually grew on me. Kinda looks like a river from far away. Your snake comment is perfect though.

Oh man, that Denver wall sounds cool. I get what you mean about it looking like a river from far away. The snake thing Linda said is just too good though, makes me picture a bricklayer fighting a wild hose. Some of those messy patterns just need the right lighting or angle and they click.

Right? @lindag33, I had the same thing happen with a weird paint job in my old apartment, hated it then totally missed it when I moved.
