TIL using a line lock for brick courses saves so much time

Used to snap chalk lines for every single course on chimney jobs. Took forever and lines faded in the sun. Last month on a job in Austin I finally grabbed a line lock and twigs setup. Has anyone else switched from chalk lines to a line lock for tall walls?

Heard a builder once say line locks are the best thing since sliced bread for brickwork. Might have to try it on my next chimney job.

Funny thing about line locks, they work great until you hit a freezing morning and the whole rig seizes up. Woke up to that once.

Nah, chalk lines still beat line locks every time. Just ask @tarabell.
