Figured out bulk beans save me $18 a month but prepping them each week eats up 3 hours of my Sunday cooking time

I finally broke down and started soaking dry pinto beans every Saturday night after wasting too much cash on canned ones, but can someone tell me if there's a faster way to cook them without standing over the stove?

Yo, get yourself a slow cooker. Soak overnight, dump in with water and salt in the morning. Come back 6-8 hours later. Done. No standing around.

But don't the beans sometimes get mushy if you don't soak 'em first...?

Actually, you don't need to soak dried beans overnight if you use a slow cooker.
